Fireworks 8 tutorial to create watercolor painting In this tutorial, you will learn to create water color effect in Adobe Fireworks. This simple water color painting effect can be used in different scenarios such as ‘background for web page’, ‘e greeting cards’, invites, web icons etc. - Select fireworks 'brush' tool, increase the ' tip size' to 100 and opacity as low as 10-15.
- For background, we could use pastel colors like shades of green, pink and blue.
- Just sweep the stroke on your canvas in a single direction, which would look something similar to the one illustrated below

- For main painting outline, use your desired color with smaller brush tip size

- A small suggestion - Inner fillings would look good if you increase the tip size since the opacity of color reduces with increase in tip size

- Use some hand written style fonts to put in your message over it
- Below is another example of water color painting effect I created
The outline in the above image was drawn on a piece of paper and scanned. The little splatter of colors on the bottome of painting was created using "line tool" with "splatter stroke" in the properties window. The color splatter effect would look natural if you reduce the edges to around 60-70. You could probably reduce the opacity based on your painting.
 Happy Painting!!
